"People of the Bakken" is a long-form photo project that takes a closer look at the region and people who have been impacted by the most recent oil boom in North Dakota and eastern Montana. The process of fracking and drilling in America is often a controversial topic, and the aim of the project is to chronicle the events, issues, and topics that are affecting the region. By returning over the course of many years, I hope to capture a wide, but also intimate human look at how the boom has changed people's lives - for better or worse.
